I would like to take this opportunity to thank every one who has helped me get my campaign going, especially Deutche Bank, common purpose, every one who helped make the ChangeIt awards so special, family, friends, staff at Notre Dame school, other campaigners and Elissa Miller who helped create awareness by the whtvr.org website.

Burgess Park

Here are some pictures from the day Elissa Miller ( she works in Children's Communications for Southwark) took pictures of me holding a plain white T-shirt for the WHTVR magazine and website.
Today, I also got some good news that, the is going to be an annual youth festival in Burgess Park in August, and I have been asked if I am interested in setting up a stall in the Park to sell the positive T-shirts and Eco-friendly bags for the youth festival.

Presenting... our first printed T-shirt
Yes, today I finally got a chance to pick up the T-shirt from the print shop- since I has KS3 exams all last week !
T-shirt looks great in my opinion. The design on the T-shirt was approved of by my design technology teacher, friends and many other students in my school.
Furthermore, the T-shirt will be put on a model stand for the judges to see. The design on the T-shirt still can and may be modified slightly after the judging too.
In addition, my art teacher has informed me that she has received some brilliant designs from some of her older and younger students. Tomorrow, I will receive these designs, and take some pictures to publish on the blog. Also, I might bring some of the designs to the ceremony on Wednesday to display for visitors and for the judges to have a greater understanding of the type of work young people in South East London are producing so far for this campaign.
Below is a picture of the T-shirt.
Presentation
Today, I was able to finalise and arrange the speech on que cards just incase Haristide or I forget. Hopefully, that will be unlikely to happen, since we have been praticing nearly all last week.
The picture above is just something we drew during writing the speech :] !
We can't wait till Wednesday :]

Dragons Den Speech
Today, Haristide and I completed writing our pitch/ speech we are going to say to the judges. So far so good. The T-shirt design look awesome, and can't wait to pick it up from the printers tomorrow. Also, I finished all of my KS3 exams today, so I can finally spend more time going over the speech and gathering pictures for the display.
Moreover, I am very pleased with the speech we have written and can't wait to pitch it to the judges and inform them of the campaign we have been developing over the past weeks.
Not forgetting, that I have recently been informed about a interview that I am to attend at the ceremony. I am just going to be asked some questions about the campaign , for example- what, where, how I came up with the idea, etc.
Overall, Haristide and I are looking forward to the ceremony and are coping well with preparing the speech -even though we have had to spend revise lots of time revising for our exams- ,feel quite content with what we have written and are quite confident that the ceremony will go well and have a positive impact on the campaign - e.g. creating awareness, funding etc.

First T-shirt to be printed
Today, Haristide and myself went to the print shop to give them the design that will be printed onto the T-shirt we want to show to the judges at the Dragon's Den Style Judging.
Even though my technology teacher , an artistically talented teenager and many students in my year thought and gave good comments on the design, I am not so sure about the colours. However, I can change the colours if necessary tomorrow, when I pick up the T-shirts.

Pictures 4 da magazine
Today, my dad and I met Elissa Muller who works in the children's communications department for Southwark, and created the whtvr.org website for young people. This website is currently being made into a magazine for teenagers too!
Furthermore, me and my campaign are to be featured in the first ever issue of this magazine. So, today I took pictures in Brugers Park and around Old Kent Road for the magazine.
Also, I hoping to get the pictures sent on Tuesday, so I can print them out and show at the ceremony. Moreover, hopefully I should receive a fresh copy of the magazine the day before the ceremony so that I can show it on the display board, as an event/factor of what has taken place so far in the development of the Smile With Style campaign.

Today, I think my campaign has moved forwrd and has been seen really developing. Since, my friends and I composed an excellent letter to send to someone who works in Southwark's children's service communications. The letter consisted of all the important details about the campaign.
However, after school my friends and I where on the whtvr.org website designed for young people in Southwark, and we found that there is an opportunity for teenagers who have started campaigns, projects and activities that are supported already by an organisation, to receive funding or just advice on how to continue their campaigns by taking part in workshops .
Moreover, the gifted and talented co-ordinater in my school took pictures of people in my class and members of a textile club. These pictures will be sent to Heather as soon as I receive them.
Overall, today has been important to continue the success and development of Smile with Style.

Bags, Bags and more bags ( environment friendly of course )
Today, I received a catalogue from a textile suppiler. The catologue contained bags, T-shirts and many different types of interesting new equipment which would be suitable for my campaign.
As a result, I have decided that my campaign will most definitely included selling bags as well as T-shirts, since I have noticed that their is a very high demand for bags from female teenagers .
Also I have finally worked out a solution, of how to get the designs on the T-shirts and bags with help from the talented artists, and the printing shop in Peckham . The plan is that , the artists will create positve images and messages, to paint on the bags will Berol Fabric paint -and dyes to colour the bags.
However, since the printing shop in Peckham are already well supplied with plain T-shirts of many varieties of colours, all I would need to do is bring them the designs on a piece of paper. Then they will blow up the designs and put them on the T-shirts !

Search Over
Today, my friend and I went to a printing shop in Peckham to find out how much it costs to print designs onto T-shirts, and bags.
We travelled there by bus, and found the location of the shop very convenient - since its close to bus stops theres very easy access to the shop.
Also, the people in the shop were friendly, and gave us all the information we need to know with out hesitation.
After a few minutes consultation with my friend, I decided that if my camapign was to be chosen to recieve £750, I would most definitely consider choosing that print shop to tranfer positive images on T-shirts.
I would have took a photo of the print shop however my friend and I didn't have a camera or a mobile phone with us . However, I plan to revisit the shop and take a picture of it during the holidays .

printing

Yeah, so today I checked out a printing shop on Old Kent Road to see if they printed on T-shirts. Unfortunately they only do posters, leaflets and key rings. But there are many other places, that I found through research on yellow pages, that are in many other printing shops in my area so I've still got many other places to visit !

researching

Yep , today I spent time researching T-shirt wholesalers /suppliers and printing shops in South east London.
Suprisingly, I found out that there are quite a few T-shirt suppliers for charity and retail purposes. However, I also found out that there a much more printing shops in my area than I ever imagined.
The printing shops differ from size and colours, some only do print on t-shirts and mugs houwever, others do a wide variety of printing on bags, any piece of clothing, they even make posters, flyers, banners and leaftlets for all different types of charities , campaigns or just for you!
Overall, today I think I have been very successfull in my research, by finding many different types of shops which, can help my campaign blossom and that I must visit in the near future .
